Diversity saves lives
Finding a matching cord blood unit depends on shared genetic markers tied to heritage. Many patients from mixed or underrepresented backgrounds can't find a match in the current registry.
California's uniquely diverse population means more units that match more patients. StemCyte has banked thousands of units from Latino, Asian, and African American communities through the UCBCP.
