AT TIME OF BIRTH
Bring your collection kit with you to the hospital when you're ready to deliver. We send complete instructions to your healthcare provider before your delivery date and follow up with a phone call or live person visit where applicable, to answer any questions. There is a detailed guide right inside the collection kit for quick reference as well.
CORD BLOOD COLLECTION
After your baby is born, the umbilical cord and placenta are removed from mother and child. Collections can be performed in-utero or ex-utero. The entire collection is painless and only takes approximately 5-10 minutes. It's performed out of sight and will not interrupt or interfere with the first joyous union between you and your baby.
RUSH DELIVERY TO LAB
Your baby’s cord blood is placed in a secure collection kit at the hospital and sealed for security prior to the medical courier service pick up. You or a member of your family just calls the toll free number 1.866.389.4659 on the kit and one of our medically approved courier services will arrange for pickup. The cord blood unit is picked up and delivered directly to our laboratory within 48 hours. A friendly StemCyte representative will call you when the kit arrives for processing for peace of mind.
